Milan Tour Experience - Garibaldi Quarter
The Garibaldi neighborhood is presently one of Milan’s most vibrant and coveted districts. It was once a working-class residential area, defined by its proximity to the industrial zone. Today, that industrial past has been transformed into a vibrant hub of mixed-use urban planning, a green connector linking to Central Station. In this audio guide, we will explore some of the neighborhood's most fascinating landmarks, discover its unique shops and eateries.
We suggest exploring the zone in two phases. First walking northwards, starting from Porta Garibaldi ( Garibaldi Arch), through Corso Como, followed by Via Vincenzo Capelli, then Gae Aulenti and onto the Bohemian quarter Isola.

Conclusion
Before you leave ...
Take a walk past Antica Trattoria della Pesa, Viale Pasubio 10, a historic restaurant dating back to 1880, which has preserved its original sign. The restaurant owes its name to the fact that it stands in the exact place where, in the 19th century, goods going through the Porta Volta gate were weighed to establish the duty to be paid for their transfer ("pesa" is the Italian word for weighing scale). According to reports, the Vietnamese revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh worked as a waiter in this restaurant in the 1930s.
To wrap up, order a glass of wine at Melabevo, Via Volta 14. Run by two women, this spot is a holdout from a time before celebrities and influencers pushed Milan's rapid gentrification and luxury branding.
